Let’s jet set round the world to three polo events that took place this weekend.

The high goal action is taking place at the moment in the USA. International Polo Club Palm Beach, Florida is the host to the 20 Goal Ylvisaker Cup. This Saturday saw Adolfo Cambiaso, playing for Valiente I, knocked out by Tonkawa which has 10 goaler Sapo Caset in their line-up. The score at the end of the last chukka was 8-6.

Sunday’s games to decide the three other semi-finalists were between Valiente II and Coca Cola, Orchard Hill and Horseware, and Villa del Lago Modere and Postage Stamp Farm.  The winning teams were Coca Cola (16-11), Orchard Hill (15-10) and Postage Stamp (10-9).

The semi-finals are scheduled for Wednesday 15 February.

Also this weekend saw the close of the qualifiers in Dubai for the Polo Masters. Bin Drai went out despite winning their match against Bangash. Habtoor Polo go through on goal difference to play the final on Tuesday 14 February against Mahra. The final will be held at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort in Dubai.

In Argentina this weekend the final of the 8 Goal La Copa Cañuelas was won by El Relincho. The final was played on Saturday in Palermo against La Justina.
