Princes at Charity Polo

Princes at Charity Polo.

This weekend saw Prince William and Prince Harry play polo at Coworth Park at the Audi Polo Challenge. Prince Harry was raising money for the charities Sentebale and WellChild.

The event boasted A-list guests like Prince Harry’s former classmate Oscar winning actor Eddie Redmayne, Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell, and The Crown actor Matt Smith (who coincidentally plays Harry’s grandfather Prince Philip in the Netflix drama). Tom Hardy, Actress Ellie Bamber and presenter Kirsty Gallacher also all gave their support to the fundraising event.

However it was not the A-list celebrities, or the polo match (which incidentally was won by the Princes’ team) but the appearance of Meghan Markle that stole the headlines. This was the first public event attended by the Suits actress as Prince Harry’s girlfriend. Meghan, who has been dating Prince Harry for over six months now, spent the weekend watching him compete in the Audi Polo Challenge matches. All cameras were trained on her and finally rewarded when the couple shared a little kiss and hug by their car after the match.

Meghan cheered Harry on from the stands in the company of Mark Dyer, a former Welsh Guards officer and close friend of Harry, who helped set up his Sentebale charity. Harry and William have raised more than £10 million for good causes since 2007 in the exclusive polo games.
