Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series comes to an end in the United Arab Emirates.
Habtoor Polo won the Dubai Cup, the last tournament of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series 2017, after defeating Mahra by 8.5 goals to 8 in a thrilling final held on Saturday (8 April) at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club.

Patron Mohammed Al Habtoor´s team played a great match against a very tough opponent and achieved the last Trophy of an amazing season of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series. Both teams fought till the last seconds of the match for the victory but Habtoor Polo, with a good teamwork performance, succeeded in holding onto their half goal lead for a deserved victory.

The Subsidiary Cup was presented to Dr. A-Bangash after winning against Wolves by 10 goals to 5. The Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series 2017 came to an end after a successful season that had UAE Polo winning the McLaren Cup, Mahra lifting the Masters Cup, Zedan Polo as the Gold Cup champions, Bin Drai achieving the Challenge Cup and ended with Habtoor Polo winning the Dubai Cup.

US Open: Orchard Hill, Valiente and FlexJet scored wins following a triple matchday of the US Open.
In the first of the matches held yesterday (Sunday 9 April) at International Polo Club Palm Beach Orchard Hill, the title holders, defeated Audi by 12 goals to 8. In the second game Valiente overpowered Coca-Cola with a 17-12 win. And in a close final game of the day FlexJet came out the winners against Travieso by 11 goals to 9.

The high goal teams had competed earlier in the week. Valiente defeated Orchard Hill, Flexjet beat Audi, and Coca-Cola overpowered Travieso.

Teams are also playing in the Grand Champions Polo Club high purse tournament. Tuesday (4 April) saw Valiente defeat Audi 16 goals to 13. Valiente II went through to the second round with their 13-7 win over FlexJet. On Wednesday Palm Beach Illustrated defeated IPC 14-8, and La Dalila defeated Equuleus 14-13. The third game saw Sebucan take a narrow win over The Polo School by 10 goals to 9. The remaining games were played on Thursday 6 when GSA beat Casa Dio, Friday 7 when Orchard Hill beat Travieso, and Saturday 8 when Deerridge beat San Saba.

The second round began on Sunday (April 9) when GSA played Palm Beach Illustrated and La Dalila met Orchard Hill, and continues today (Monday April 10) when Valiente II will play Sebucan.
