Ryan Pemble

Ryan is a committee member of the Guards Youth Academy, and is on the Coaching Committee for the Hurlingham Polo Association (the governing body of polo in the UK) and trains HPA coaches.

He won the triple crown in 2001 and 2005 for the Dubai polo team, played with some of the best ten goal handicap players in the world such as Adolfo Cambiaso, Piki Alberdi, Lolo Castagnola, the Merloss brothers, and Gonzalo Pieres, and competed at the highest level in major tournaments such as the British Open and the Queen’s Cup.

Having achieved many England caps and trophies Ryan is now a dedicated polo coach. He is committed to bringing the sport to many new people, particularly those that thought they would never be able to play. Ryan uses coaching techniques inspired by renowned sports psychologist Dave Alread, who trained such luminaries as Jonnie Wilkinson during the 2003 Rugby World Cup and Luke Donald, the champion golfer of 2011. He produces excellent results in his students and is one of the most in-demand coaches in England.
